Combinations: What do you get when you pair two different LED setups, three color lens options, and three different mounting styles? A huge variety of possible configurations! They are really whatever your creativity allows, and THAT is why more than anything....put simply Morimoto's new ModPod Minis are an awesome way to add custom auxiliary lighting to your car, truck, or motorcycle!


Construction: Their CNC 6061 anodized aluminum body is basically bomb proof. Not only does it look great with it's drilled out bezel (that provides a pseudo-halo effect) - but it protects the goods inside. Designed for use either inside a headlight or on your bolted to your brush guard -they're built to last.


Wiring: Simple! Each pod only has three input wires. Depending on which LED setup you choose, they'll have one ground and a positive for the white (or bright) mode along with a positive for the amber (or dim) mode.

Disappointing Build Quality

I ordered four of these (with Y-mounts) for a personal headlight project and was super excited when they arrived. However, while assembling them, I noticed that all four had the same problem with one of the threaded holes that are meant to secure the pods on to the mounts. The hole was not threaded properly and also contained metal chips that weren't properly cleaned once the holes were drilled/threaded.



I would recommend using a small screw driver when screwing onto the mounts as the hole is not filleted, nor big enough to allow a standard screw driver head to fit. There are scratches on the edge of the holes from my screw driver now..



Lastly, the paint scratches very easily so handle them with care..

Morimoto Modpod Mini LED

Just like all morimoto LEDs these are extremely bright and the very high quality. They always come packaged really well too.
