Speedy Gonzales: Has nothin' on the ACME SpeedyStart 35w ballasts when it comes to warm up time. These go zero to full intensity in just 3.5 seconds! So good in fact that we've discontinued the old "FastBright" ballasts in their favor.
Safe: Their external igniters and high voltage wiring is shielded to help mitigate EMI interference (radio static) so it's unlikely that these ballasts will disturb your afternoon rock block!
Setup: Though light on their feet and drawing just 5A on start up, we highly recommend powering the SpeedyStarts with an HD Relay wire harness to ensure performance and longevity.
AMP Only: The SpeedyStart is only available with AMP Male/Female outputs, but can easily be used with D2S bulbs with some AMP>D2S Adapters.

Not so speedy after all...

I'll keep this short. I've been doing retrofits on my personal cars now for over 10 years and while there are compromises involved with this process, it's to be expected. Since the ballasts I got with my Mini H1 6.0's were on their way out, I decided to get these since they're cheap and promised a "speedy" start up. Once I installed them and tested, the best I could get from cold was about 20-24 seconds to maximum. I won't give these a poorer rating simply because they are very cheap and look great under my hood, but OEM-like speed I wasn't able to experience.
Great Ballast !

I Have morimotos XB's 35 on my car and decided to go for the Speedystart 2.0 on my wife's.
The XB's look better, but the ACME doesn't look cheap at all! Difficult to compare brightness because they are in different projectors, but the ACME does an excellent job with 5500k morimoto bulbs in a morimoto D2S 3.0.
Overall I think the ACME are a better deal without sacrificing too much on build quality. If I had to start over i would also take the ACME for my car!

Great value

Purchased these along with some Morimoto XB 35 5500K bulbs to replace some DDM ballasts that I had for about 4 years. This set up is quite a bit brighter than the previous set up, as I installed one side at a time and compared to the old set-up. These ballasts look like a quality product, wiring is great. Warm-up does seem pretty fast, and the ballasts are pretty quiet as well. So far very pleased, the price was very appealing, hopefully they will last several years.

Just installed the ballast yesterday 11-03-2017 and I'm very impressed at the warm-up time. The cheaper ballast i had before made my lights bluish after putting these in the light went to pure white.

A very nice ballast / Ignitor Kit for 60 bucks. Lights warm up fast, cabling and Amp connectors are of good quality. At this price, can't go wrong. Excellent product and very happy I purchased these. TRS is the best.
Worth every penny

Received well packaged and installed it immediately. The old cheap ballast gave out a blueish light. Now the output is more clear and brighter and warm white like they should be. I would recommend this to any one searching for a good quality light output.
